Well, there must be a reason why the Grizzly bears love their salmon so much. Salmon is low in calories and saturated fat, but high in protein. Protein provides essential amino acids which are vital for growth and muscular development.

Salmon also contains a unique type of health-promoting fat, omega-3 essential fatty acids. These "essential" fatty acids were given their name when researchers found that they were necessary for normal growth. Our bodies do not create these essential fatty acids so we need to supplement our diets with foods like salmon that naturally provide these vital nutrients.

Benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids:

  • Protect against heart disease
  • Decrease the severity of joint pain
  • Support the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system

My Tip: Start incorporating ocean-farmed salmon into your regular meal plan. Check out these delicious & healthy salmon recipes.
